KOTA SAMARAHAN: Business people from the private sector coming to invest here would lead to the progress and development of the town.
This was said by Samarahan District Council Chairman, Dato’ Peter Minos in his speech during the Grand Opening ceremony of Farley Kota Samarahan Sdn Bhd at Bandar Riyal here, yesterday.
“The private sector will bring success in Kota Samarahan and provide Kota Samarahan with high growth and much progress,” he said.
He also said that the council will look forward to working with Farley to bring in the customers and Farley will benefit from their support.
“I also hope that Farley will bring their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) culture to Kota Samarahan for the community here and the council will also lend their hand to help them,” he pointed out.
He also stressed on a crime free town with safe environment, whereby the council will cooperate with the police to keep the town safe from all forms of crime.
“Every housing estate here should have their own neighbourhood watch committee (KRT), and we will look into this matter,” he said.
Meanwhile, according to Farley Managing Director, Eiyen Lau, Farley Kota Samarahan is their third branch in Sarawak, with the other two branches in Bintulu and Sibu.
“The fourth branch which will be in Kuching area, located near Kuching Sentral is scheduled to be completed in 3 years’ time and it will be the largest among the Farley branches,” he pointed out.
He also said that Farley Kota Samarahan will be having their 3 days sale promotion during the weekend (20-22 November) and lucky Farley members will have the chance to win mystery gifts and up to RM10,000 cash.
