SHEDA Property Expo 2015 to be vibrant

KUCHING: SHEDA Property Expo 2015, the annual property exhibition to be held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here on September 25 to 27 is expected to be vibrant.

SHEDA Property Expo 2015 organising chairman Kevin Choo revealed that all the booths at the exhibition had been successfully taken up.

Choo, who is also Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda) treasurer-general noted that the encouraging response has reflected positively on the property market in Sarawak.

“We are pleased to inform that all 113 booths have been taken up.

“Sheda sees this as a positive reflection of the current property market in Sarawak despite the current economic uncertainty.

“Sheda’s aim is to continuously improve its services to members, exhibitors and the public.

“Therefore, we seek the cooperation of all exhibitors in complying with logistical and technical operations to ensure the smooth running of the event,” Choo told more than 60 exhibitors during a briefing held at BCCK here yesterday.

He added potential investors and house buyers will be able to get more information on property projects from various property developers during the event.

Those include Ibraco Bhd, Naim Land Sdn Bhd, Lee Onn Construction Sdn Bhd, MJC City Development Sdn Bhd and CMS Property Development Sdn Bhd.

Choo observed that visitors can also expect to compare and purchase properties from major developers from Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia for instance Timber Land Group, RB Development Sdn Bhd, Elica Sdn Bhd, Instarmac Development Sdn Bhd, Regal Advantage Sdn Bhd, Spago Property Sdn Bhd, Sentoria Group, Goldmine Properties Sdn Bhd and IQI Realty Sdn Bhd.

Besides that, he noted there are more than 20 programmes comprising activities as well as property market talks by international speakers at the event.

Moreover, Choo said there are also activities for children and family.

He disclosed that primary school children will have the opportunity to win a cash prize of RM1,000 in the Sheda JuniorStar Karakoke singing competition which is limited to the first 50 registrants.

Meanwhile, Absolute Cool Event (ACE) event assistant Dorina Gibson briefed exhibitors on the technical specifications as well as preparations for the event.

Similarly, BCCK’s food and beverage operations manager John Engkatesoo said the convention centre took note of the feedback from exhibitors and is looking forward to improving its services.

Also present at the event were Sheda council member Gary Kho and representatives from exhibitors.
