KUCHING: The Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (SHEDA) Kuching branch will host its final roadshow this year from November 27 till 29 at Boulevard Mall Kuching.
The Home and Property Roadshow 2015 will serve as a platform for all exhibitors to promote and showcase their projects and products under one roof while enhancing company image as well as develop brand awareness.
Richard Tan, the organising chairman and branch treasurer noted that response has been good with 70 per cent of booths have already been taken up comprising of property developers from both east and west Malaysia, real estate agents, banks as well as other property related trades.
“In the current economic climate, roadshows such as these gives a good opportunity for developers to showcase their products and enable the public to invest in property to safeguard against any surprises,” said Tan.
SHEDA Kuching branch advisor, Sim Kiang Cheok, added to this sentiment by stating that, “considering the current devaluation of the Malaysian ringgit, this is the perfect opportunity to invest in property before developers are forced to increase their price due to imported inflation.”
Sim further added that with rumors of the US potentially increasing its interest rates, Malaysia may follow suit further pushing property prices up.
“Keep in mind, most developers also close their accounts at the end of the year which means more promotion to push for better figures for the accounts,” he enthused.
Activities during the roadshow include coloring contests, clown appearances as well as a blood donation drive jointly organised with Life Care Society and the Sarawak General Hospital Blood Bank.
Other non-government organisations taking part in the roadshow includes the Sarawak Society for the Deaf and Mental Health Association of Sarawak.
